Jerry "JerBear" Bloch

Jerry Bloch is a long-time yoga instructor who is well known for his popular classes in Laguna Woods Village, a 55+ community in Orange County. Outside his instructor role, JerBear has practiced corporate/real estate law for over 45 years, balancing his professional responsibilities and parent duties with extensive physical and recreational activity, in which yoga became foundational. Jerry’s yoga journey started years ago when he discovered yoga to develop his natural flexibility and enhance his overall fitness. With a day job as an attorney and single father of three, yoga added balance to his busy life. His other outdoor activities include mountain and road biking, hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing, kayaking, and open water swimming. JerBear is a creative cook and loves feeding his friends and family with inspiring and healthy dishes.

Andrea Randle

Andrea Randle has been a competitive athlete her entire life. She has completed seven Ironman races, including two world championships, over sixty marathons, multiple trail ultra marathons, multi-sport team races, and much more. Currently she serves as Associate Director of Development with The Nature Conservancy, a role in which she gets to lead donors on hikes in some of the most beautiful nature preserves in the world. Previously, she was the operations director for Project Athena, a nonprofit foundation that helps survivors of medical or traumatic event “live their adventurous dream.” In that role, she organized events such as Grand Canyon treks, Florida Keys kayaking excursions and other adventures. Andrea is also a certified fitness instructor. 

JerBear and Andrea, partners in life and fun, have a healthy and energetic lifestyle they share with like-minded people through these yoga + fitness classes, events and retreats. 

WHAT IS JERBEAR YOGA?

JerBear Yoga organizes yoga and fitness classes, as well as events and retreats to grow and nurture real well-being. We bring people together to create community, inspiring one another through movement, immersion in nature, joyful activities and healthy meals together. While our activities are created with our older adults in mind, we welcome people of all ages to come seek peace, a supportive community, and a great workout with us. 

Events & Retreats

Join our community is we look to focus on complete well-being, including physical, emotional, and nutritional on our retreats and special events. Along with various yoga and fitness offerings, this is a great opportunity to connect with our members, as well as learn more about Jerry's other passion - food. A belief in whole, healthy, and diverse food options, Jerry lives by the motto “Eat food, not too much, mostly plants.” 

Fitness

In addition to our yoga, we have organized hikes, swims, strength-focused classes, and more to help cultivate well-being throughout the body. Join us as we work to improve strength and flexibility through a variety of fitness activities in beautiful, natural settings.

Yoga

Led by Jerry, our Mindful Movement classes use breathwork to promote calmness and easeful movement, poses designed to create space in our joints, relief from discomfort, and increased strength and flexibility. His practice is intended to promote a deeper intimacy with one’s body, a relief of tension, both physical and emotional, and a deep sense of well-being.
